Trigger Point Injections Provide Fast Pain Relief!

The office of Dr Frank Valente, D.C., P.C. is pleased to be partnering with Refined Medical, an office specializing in pain management and overall wellness.

One of the treatment procedures we are so excited to offer is Trigger Point Injections. This procedure takes just minutes! 

We recommend trigger point injections for anyone with sharp pain, a recent injury, or any stiffness and limited mobility in the arms, legs, or back.

A skilled technician from Refined Medical will come and determine exactly where to deliver treatment based on where your inflammation and stiffness are most severe (they will use an ultrasound to take a look at your muscle and tissue).

Then, a quick shot directly into the affected area brings pain relief, and an anti-inflammatory treatment as well. The shot is followed by a quick massage to the area to help disperse the treatment. Because it's not a steroid, treatment can be given weekly with no side effects!

TP Injections are similar to dry needling, a form of acupuncture that uses needles to directly stimulate the most stiff or painful area on a patient's body to help break up that tension and improve blood flow so the body can heal itself.

Unlike cortisone injections, the treatment used by Refined Medical is non-steroidal, meaning you won't experience any of the unpleasant side-effects associated with steroids. This also gives you the opportunity to seek more frequent treatment until your symptoms begin to alleviate. 

Trigger point injections are covered by most major insurance plans, and our office will contact your insurance ahead of time to determine your out-of-pocket amount.
